The South Williamstown Community Association, in conjunction with Girl Scouts from the Williamstown area, will present Applefest from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Little Red Schoolhouse located south of the intersection of routes 43 and 7 in south Williamstown.
The annual fall tradition had been presented by the Williamstown Cooperative Nursery School, which called the Little Red Schoolhouse home. The preschool announced this fall that it would close its doors after nearly 50 years.
Applefest celebrates autumn with activities for children, including games, crafts, face-painting and more. This year’s event will feature a bake sale and apple pie competition with homemade pies baked by local families as well as a raffle of toys and crafts just for children. In addition, the event will include a tag sale of children’s items.
Admission is free, with donations accepted to help the South Williamstown Community Association maintain the building.
