Hoosac Valley High School’s Hurricane Early Childhood Program is relaunching in the renovated school and is currently enrolling for Spring 2013.
The program is open to all 3 to 5-year-olds in the Adams-Cheshire school district. The program begins Monday, Feb. 4 and will run through May.
Parents may choose between these two-day a week options: Mondays and Wednesdays, or Tuesdays and Thursdays. Both run from 7:45 to 10 a.m.
The program is run in conjunction with the three Child Study classes. High school students who have successfully completed Child Study 1 work with the children, doing music activities, story time, free play, art activities, and a cognitive period.
Enrollment is limited to 12 children in each class, and is on a first come and first serve basis. There will be a one-time fee of $25 to cover costs. Parents must supply transportation.
To enroll, or for more information, call Jeanne Chivers at Hoosac Valley, (413) 743-5200, ext. 5114, or (413) 684-2521 after 3 p.m., or email chiversj@acrsd.net.
