Tamarack Hollow will present a Hoosac Range Boreal Forest hike from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, at Savoy State Forest.
The hike is co-sponsored by the Northern Berkshire Cultural Council and Mass Audubon. Participants will learn how to identify high elevation winter plants and trees and their historical uses.
This is a moderately strenuous hike offering views of Mount Greylock and Southern Vermont.
The fee is $15 for Mass Audubon members and $20 for non-members.
