The City of North Adams and North Adams Public Schools will hold a food drive to benefit the Northern Berkshire Interfaith Action Initiative's Friendship Center Food Pantry.
Non-perishable foods collected Dec. 3 through 7 will be donated to the Friendship Center Food Pantry, 43 Eagle St.
Donations may be dropped off at City Hall, North Adams Police Department, North Adams Fire Department, North Adams Public Library, Mary Spitzer Center (Council on Aging), City Yard, and Brayton, Greylock and Sullivan elementary schools, and Drury High School.
The food pantry is seeking donations of most-needed holiday food items, such as tomato sauce, macaroni and cheese, tuna fish, canned sweet potatoes, pasta, canned soup, peanut butter, canned baked beans, canned green beans, boxed cereal, canned fruits, and canned juice.
The Friendship Center is the home of the Northern Berkshire Interfaith Action Initiative. It also hosts a food pantry in cooperation with the Berkshire Community Action Council and the Western Massachusetts Food Bank.
