Town Players of Pittsfield will hold auditions for the play, "Mass Appeal," written by Bill Davis, a playwright originally from the Berkshires.

This comedy-drama, directed by Melanie Rivers, is a two character play that focuses on the conflict of a complacent Roman Catholic priest and an eager and idealistic young deacon who is assigned to his parish.

The cast requires two men, one in his 50s or 60s and a younger man about 20 to 30 years old.

The auditions will be at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 11 and 12, at Morningside Community School. Performance dates are Jan. 25, 26, 27 and Feb. 1 and 2.
