In an effort to celebrate the state’s public library system, Saturday, Feb. 2, has been declared as "Take Your Child to the Library Day." Any child is welcome as long as they have permission from their parent/guardian.

The Richmond Library will celebrate this day by allowing every child who visits the library between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday to select a book from the Book Sale Room to take home and keep.
