Local resident Beverly Bowman will speak on her process of Swedish weaving at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7, at the Worthington Historical Society located on the corner of routes 143 and 112.

Bowman prefers to work with natural fibers and most of her weavings are created with linen, wool, or a combination of these fibers. Large Swedish Glimarkra looms are found in her weaving studio housed in a timber-framed addition to her old Cape Cod farmhouse in Worthington.

Bowman is a member of the Hilltown Artisans Guild. This program is sponsored by Arts Alive in the Hilltowns and the Worthington Historical Society and is free. Donations are appreciated.
