The Berkshire Writers Room is hosting its second annual writing contest on Memoir Writing.
The contest starts March 1 and ends May 1. Winners will be announced on May 15.
First prize is a $50 gift card from Barnes & Noble, second is a $25 gift card from Barnes & Noble, and third is a two book set of memoirs. Two honorable mentions will be awarded.
All winners will receive a one year membership to Berkshire Writers Room and the chance to read on Pittsfield Community Television, Channel 16.
Writers must be 16 or older. The submission can be no longer than 1,500 words.
No identifying information can be on the submission itself; instead include a cover letter with the title of piece, writer's name, address, email address, and phone number. This ensures blind judging.
Submissions will be mailed to BWR, P.O. Box 243, Pittsfield, MA 01202.
