District One (Berkshire County) of the American Legion Auxiliary is sponsoring a penny social at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, at the Dalton American Legion Post, 258 North St.

The event will include door prizes, a 50/50 raffle and grocery raffles. Coffee and refreshments will be available. Admission and parking are free and the building is handicapped accessible.

Proceeds from this event will be used for district scholarships awarded to graduating high school seniors in Berkshire County.
