The Good Purpose Gallery Starving Artist Café will present Sharon Charde and Jan Conn during the Writers Read series at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 22, in the gallery, 40 Main St.
Writers Read is a monthly series of established poets and writers reading from their works for 30 minutes or less.
Charde, a retired psychotherapist who has been a writing teacher since 1992, has won numerous poetry awards, the latest being first prize in the 2011 New Hampshire Poetry Contest.
Conn’s most recent book is "Edge Effects." She is a member of the writing collaborative Yoko’s Dogs and lives in Great Barrington.
The authors’ books will be available for purchase after their readings. There is no admission fee, but a hat is passed for the writers and poets.
