Lenox: Sanctuary to host bluebird nest box workshop

A Bluebird Nest Box Building workshop, sponsored by Berkshire Sanctuaries, will be held from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, at Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary.

Participants in this family-friendly workshop will assemble pre-cut bluebird nesting box kits. Necessary hardware will also be provided; bring a carpenter’s hammer.

Workshop participants will learn where and how to place their boxes in the right habitat as well as about Eastern Bluebird Conservation efforts.

The workshop is suitable for children ages 5 to 18. The fee per nesting box is $15 for Mass Audubon members/$20 for nonmembers; children are free.
