Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts will celebrate its 114th commencement exercises on Saturday, May 18, beginning at 11 a.m., in the Amsler Campus Center gymnasium.

The event is free and open to the public; however, tickets for general seating are required this year for commencement. Tickets may be picked up at MCLA’s Office of Institutional Advancement, 228 East Main St.

Attorney, domestic violence advocate, educator and community volunteer Diane Patrick, first lady of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, will offer this year’s commencement address. She will receive an honorary doctor of public service degree.

Also receiving honorary degrees this year will be Bennington College President Elizabeth Coleman, who will receive an honorary doctor of public service degree; Margaret "Mardi" Crane-Godreau ‘98, a member of the faculty at Dartmouth Medical School, who will receive an honorary doctor of science degree; and Jack Downing, president and CEO of Soldier On, who will receive an honorary doctor of public service degree.
