The Bidwell House Museum, the Berkshires’ colonial history museum, will open for the season on Memorial Day weekend. Tours will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 25.
The Museum is celebrating the opening with a concert and reception at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 26.
Singer-songwriter Diane Taraz will perform her "Civil War Sampler," songs from the mid-1800s. Taraz tells the stories of the songs and accompanies herself on guitar and lap dulcimer.
Refreshments will be served to toast the opening of the 23nd season of the house as a museum.
There is a suggested donation of $15, free for members of the museum, for attendance at the concert.
