Popular folk singers Sarah Lee Guthrie and Johnny Irion headline the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute’s free Americana Family Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 30. The duo will perform at 12:05 and 2:50 p.m.
The event is held in conjunction with the Clark’s summer exhibitions of works by American artists Winslow Homer and George Inness on view through Sept. 8. Admission to the galleries is free all day.
This summer’s Family Day event is packed with fun activities for the whole family, from art and music to fly fishing and horseshoes, pickle-eating and pie-eating contests to storytelling.
Local vendors will offer an array of food and beverages for sale, including international cuisine, pizza, and barbecued fare.
Visitors are encouraged to stop by the information desk to pick up a family guide, which accompanies the Winslow Homer exhibit.
The Clark is located at 225 South St. Information: clarkart.edu or (413) 458-2303.
