The Columbia Land Conservancy will present "Dig Into Reading with Soils and Seeds" at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, at the New Lebanon Library, 550 State Route 20. The program is oriented to school-aged children.

In keeping with the summer reading theme of "Dig Into Reading," participants will investigate the world beneath their feet. They will learn why soil is so important for animals, plants, and people, then create a seed paper bookmark to take home and plant next spring.
