With classes starting again next week, Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts has announced that a portion of Church Street between Bradley and Blackinton streets will be closed to through traffic from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1, to allow for safety as a large volume of students move into area residence halls.
Residents living within this closed off area will be allowed unrestricted access. All other traffic will be rerouted to Davenport Street and Blackinton Street during this time.
Resident student check-in will begin on the morning of Sunday, Sept. 1.
Although the partial street closure only will be in effect on Sunday, the student move-in process will continue through Tuesday, Sept. 3.
Questions and concerns may be directed to Director of Public Safety Joseph Charon at (413) 662-5284.
