The Washington Sons and Daughters will hold the 104th annual meeting beginning at noon on Sunday, Sept. 8, at the Old Town Hall on Washington Mountain Road.
All Washington residents and anyone who has ever lived in the town of Washington, including children, are invited to meet neighbors and share memories, stories and the history of the town.
Hot and cold food and drink will be provided by the committee.
Attendees are invited to enter their favorite cookie recipe in the baking contest. Entrants should tape their name on the bottom of plate; bring enough for all to share. Prizes will be awarded.
The Washington Historical Commission will have a display offering information about the town’s history.
Bobby Sweet and the Beeline Ramblers (Fran and Lisa Mandeville) will perform traditional and original folk music accompanied by fiddle, mandolin, guitar, banjo, and dulcimer.
