Darby English, the newly appointed Starr Director of the Research and Academic Program at the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute, will engage in a conversation with RAP Associate Director David Breslin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12.
The conversation is free and open to the public and will be held at Stone Hill Center.
The conversation will touch on English’s intellectual interests and his past and current writing projects.
English is the author of "How to See a Work of Art in Total Darkness." He is completing work on a new book, "1971: A Year in the Life of Color," which studies social experiments with modernist art undertaken over a period just prior to that year.
