The Berkshire Concert Choir begins its 36th season on Wednesday, Sept. 11. The singers, under the direction of Carlton Maaia II, will be preparing a program featuring Dvorak’s "Mass in D major," with several shorter works, for a Saturday evening concert on Nov. 23.
Rehearsals are held every Wednesday at First Church of Christ in Pittsfield, Congregational, 27 East St., Park Square, from 7 to 9 p.m. New singers of high school age and above are invited to join.
For the first rehearsal, arrive early to register, pay dues and receive the music packet. Rehearsal space, the second floor Fellowship Hall, is accessible by elevator. The entrance is the side door facing the Berkshire Bank parking lot on Allen Street.
There will be at least two additional Saturday morning rehearsals for this concert. For more information, contact Choir President Michael Gerhard at (413) 442-6120 or Michael.E.Gerhard@lmco.com.
