The city of Pittsfield joins the Massachusetts Department of Public Health in promoting emergency preparedness as part of the "Together We’re Ready - Massachusetts Prepared" campaign during Emergency Preparedness Month.
The statewide campaign encourages residents, families and communities to make plans and prepare for severe weather, natural disasters or other emergency events.
The campaign features local access television programming, online videos and resources and social media components developed by the DPH Emergency Preparedness Bureau, in partnership with state and local agencies.
A special television production, "Together We’re Ready - Massachusetts Prepared," a panel discussion on emergency preparedness, will be shown by the Pittsfield Government Channel CityLink, Channel 18, throughout the month.
The video can also be accessed by the public online through YouTube.com by searching "Together We’re Ready, Massachusetts Prepared."
Visit the "Together We’re Ready - Massachusetts Prepared" web page at www.cityofpittsfield.org under "Current Events" in the Health Department section of the site for more information.
