The fourth annual Northern Berkshire Electronic Recycling and Paper Shredding event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Steeple City Plaza parking lot adjacent to All Saints Episcopal Church.
All Saints Church is co-sponsoring the event with the Northern Berkshire Solid Waste Management District.
Electronic recycling of all types of electronics and appliances will be accepted. Charges will be $5 for most electronics, $10 for larger appliances and $20 for TVs. Refrigerators cannot be accepted for this event.
Newly accepted items this year included batteries, ink cartridges, toners and cell phones. Lawn mowers drained of oil and gas will also be accepted.
Paper shredding by the bag, box or handful will be on site from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. A free will donation is asked for shredding. Large volumes of paper shredding can be accepted.
New this year is a free bicycle collection. Bikes collected will be recycled, repaired and reused.
All proceeds will support the programs, ministries and community outreach of All Saints Episcopal Church.
The event is open to all residents, schools and businesses in North Adams, Adams, Williamstown and surrounding communities.
