The Becket Cultural Council and the office of state Rep. William "Smitty" Pignatelli have announced an Oct. 15 postmark deadline for the next cycle for local cultural council funding applications for proposals for community-oriented arts, humanities, and science programs that benefit the Becket community.
All applications should be typed and signed by the applicant and sent or delivered to the Town Hall by the Oct. 15 deadline.
Applications from individuals outside the community should include a local venue, with date and time, as well as a local contact that is sponsoring the activity. Out of town applicants without local sponsors will be rejected.
This year, the Becket Cultural Council will distribute $4,250 in grants.
