Phyllis Chapman will portray the "unsinkable" Molly Brown at the Stephentown Historical Society meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, at the Heritage Center on Garfield Road, County Route 26.
The Titanic survivor and socialite was an activist for women’s suffrage, education and literacy for children, the rights of workers and women, and historic preservation.
As Brown, Chapman will tell highlights of her life, including her early days, her charitable work, her Titanic experience, and some of the fantastic stories that were made up about her.
The program is free and open to the public. The building is handicapped accessible. Directions or information: (518) 733-0010.
