The Diabetes Support Group at Berkshire Medical Center will feature a discussion on planning exercise options for the winter months. The program, which is free and open to the public, will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, in the Private Dining Rooms at BMC, adjacent to the Cafe.
The presenter will be Thomas Berkery, physical therapist at the BMC Center for Rehabilitation.
Berkery will discuss recent research on exercise and some common myths concerning exercise. He will also talk about ways to exercise at home without needing extensive exercise equipment, which is helpful in the winter months.
The program is free and open to all, but pre-registration is required and seating is limited. To register, call the Diabetes Education Program at (413) 395-7942, or register online at www.berkshirehealthsystems.org.
