A new genealogy workshop, "Searching for Immigrant Ancestors and their Vital Records," is being offered at the Berkshire Athenaeum.
The class will be taught by Angela Rifkin and Jan Rogge on Thursdays, Oct. 24 and 31. There are two classes, one from 10 a.m. to noon and the other from 1 to 3 p.m.
Participants may bring their own laptop or use a library laptop. There are no official prerequisites for this class, but participants should be computer literate and have an email account.
This workshop is sponsored by the Athenaeum’s Local History Department and the Berkshire Family History Association.
The workshop is free of charge and open to the public. A library card is not required.
Early registration is recommended as sessions fill quickly. To register, call the Local History Department at (413) 499-9480, ext. 6.
