Zion Lutheran Church will host its first-ever "Beer & Hymns" night at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at Mr. Finn’s Cabaret, Barrington Stage Company, 36 Linden St.
"Beer & Hymns," an event popularized by Lutheran churches across the country, is designed to gather a group of people together in a non-church space for a loud and lively hymn-sing.
The Rev. Timothy Weisman, the Rev. Andy Barnett and Amy Renak, all accomplished musicians, will lead the event.
Snacks, beer, wine, and a variety of non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Everyone is welcome. There is no admission fee or cover charge and all seating is general admission and wheelchair accessible.
A free-will offering will be taken to support the ministry of Zion Lutheran Church and the Pittsfield Area Council of Congregations Emergency Fuel Fund.
Mr. Finn’s Cabaret is located on the lower level of the Sydelle and Lee Blatt Performing Arts Center, 36 Linden St.
