The Williamstown Film Festival, Images Cinema, and Milne Public Library have organized a one-time book club for "The Cider House Rules" at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at the library, 1059 Main St.
Milne Library has copies of the book available to borrow, if needed. This group reading and discussion of the book is in preparation for John Irving’s appearance in town.
Opening night at the Williamstown Film Festival this year is "John Irving: On Adaptation." The writer will talk with Williams College Professor Jim Shepard about Irving’s Oscar-winning adaptation of his novel, "The Cider House Rules," at the 62 Center. The discussion will include clips from the film.
Tickets are available for the event alone or to the event plus an after-party at www.williamstownfilmfest.com or by calling the Williamstown Film Festival box office at (413) 458-9900.
