Tessa Rajak, the 2013 Visiting Croghan Bicentennial Professor of Classics at Williams College, will present two lectures in November on Jewish and Christian history.
The first lecture, "Mothers as Martyrs: The Mother of the Maccabees Among Jews and Christians," will be held Tuesday, Nov. 5. The second talk, "Going Greek: Jewish Translation in the Ancient Mediterranean," will be held Tuesday, Nov. 12.
Both lectures will take place at 7 p. m. in Griffin Hall, room 7. The events are free and open to the public.
