The Western Regional Office of the Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts has announced the formation of a focus group to explore the needs of adult men with brain injury living in the Berkshires.
The "Men’s Group" is open to those who have sustained either traumatic or acquired brain injury.
Facilitated by BIA-MA staff member Scott Doane, who is both a TBI survivor and experienced professional in the field of brain injury, the first meetings will draw upon open discussions to determine the viability of establishing a men’s support group as it determines the needs, concerns and hopes of participants.
The first meeting will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at BIA-MA’s Pittsfield office, 180-C Elm St., in the Elm Street Shops.
There is no cost to attend and light refreshments will be provided. Transportation is not provided, although office is on a BRTA bus route.
Those interested in attending are asked to call Doane at (413) 443-0200.
