The Friends of the Berkshire Athenaeum are sponsoring two brown bag workshops intended to help family caregivers of seniors at Berkshire Athenaeum, 1 Wendell Ave.
Scam Awareness and Prevention will be presented at noon Tuesday, Dec. 10. The workshop will provide a greater understanding of various scams and how they work, and what family caregivers and seniors need to know to keep from being victims.
A Caregiver’s Guide for the Holidays is scheduled for noon Wednesday, Dec. 11. This workshop helps family caregivers to navigate stressful holiday situations, recognizing potential "hot button" areas; and re-evaluate holiday expectations as they begin to create new traditions.
All workshops are free and open to the public. Interested individuals are invited to one or both sessions. Light refreshments will be served.
Attendees are welcome to bring a brown bag lunch.
The presenter for both programs is Bob Dean, director of Navigation for Caregivers.
