The Jewish Federation of the Berkshires will present "Personal Safety," a senior safety program, at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at Congregation Knesset Israel, 16 Colt Road.
Mary Shogry-Hayer, a senior victim assistance advocate in the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office, will discuss the Do Not Call Registry, healthcare proxies, powers of attorney, credit reports, and the "Silent 911 Procedure."
In addition, Shogry-Hayer, who is a liaison for the "Triad" and "File of Life" Senior Safety Group Programs, will explain and distribute pamphlets about both initiatives.
The program is open to the public at a cost of $3.
