Local author Bette Isacoff will present a book talk at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at the Berkshire Athenaeum, 1 Wendell Ave.

Published by Headwinds Publishing, her memoir, "Star Crossed," is a love story, sometimes humorous, sometimes heartbreaking.

With Isacoff, the reader will travel back to the 1960s, a time with more barriers between people of different faiths, a time less tolerant of interfaith marriage.

A resident of Berkshire County, Isacoff is director of nursing at Berkshire Endoscopy Center.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Berkshire Athenaeum, the event is free.
