Do include the following items in the paper recycling mix: corrugated cardboard boxes; paperboard gift boxes; greeting cards (no foil or wire or glitter); gift wrap and gift bags (no foil, metallic inks, or glitter); gift tissue papers (no metallics or glitter); catalogs and calendars; and paper shopping bags (any type of handle is okay).

Pittsfield residents have two options for disposing of their Christmas trees.
Residents may take their tree to Covanta Pittsfield on Hubbard Avenue at no cost. Remove all the tinsel, lights and ornaments from the trees, so they can be recycled.
Or, residents may place their tree with their trash on the curb for Allied Waste to collect as part of regular trash collection.
