Cheryl Ryan, a teacher at Hoosac Valley High School was invited to serve on the New England Association of Schools and College evaluation committee, visiting Athol High School, which occurred Nov. 17.

Founded in 1885, the NEASC is one of the oldest regional accreditation associations in the country and is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as the sole agency to award accreditation to educational institutions in New England.

Ryan participated in the review of various educational components of the school and will assist in the preparation of the final report of the evaluation at Athol High School.
