Nomination papers for the Annual Town Election are available at the town clerk’s office. Papers must be filed by 5 p.m. Thursday, March 20.
Offices appearing on the election ballot are as follows: Moderator, one one-year term; Assessor, one three-year term; Board of Health, one three-year term; Finance Committee, one three-year term; Library Trustee, one three-year term; Planning Board, two three-year terms; School Committee, one three-year term.
The annual town election will take place from noon to 8 p.m. Monday, May 12, at Hancock Elementary School.
The deadline to register to vote is Tuesday, April 22. The town clerk’s office will be open that day from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m.
The Annual Town Meeting will take place at 7:30 p.m. Monday, May 5, at Hancock Elementary School.
Dog licenses for 2014 are available from the town clerk. Cost is $4 for spayed/neutered and $10 for all others. Owners must provide proof of rabies vaccine and spaying/neutering, if required, before the license will be issued.
Licenses can be requested by mail with proper proof and fees; include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
