The annual town caucus will be held from noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, at Town Hall to cast ballots for the nomination of candidates for the following offices to be filled at the May 17 Annual Town Election:

Board of Selectmen, one three-year term; Board of Health, one three-year term; Cemetery Commissioner, one three-year term; Finance Committee, one three-year term; Planning Board, one five-year term; Moderator, one three-year term; and Town Clerk, one three-year term.

Candidates requesting that his/her name appear on the annual town caucus ballot must file a caucus nomination paper with the town clerk by 5 p.m. March 19. No signatures are required.

Those planning to run for office in 2014 but choose to forego the caucus must obtain nomination papers from the town clerk’s office by 5 p.m. March 27. At least 20 signatures of registered voters in Becket are required.

The deadline to submit nomination papers to the Registrars of Voters for certification is 5 p.m. March 31 in order to appear on the Annual Town Election ballot.

All candidates must be registered voters in Becket.

Voter registration forms are available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday at Town Hall.
