A silent auction and performances by area singers and musicians are highlights of "March in the Valley," a fundraising event for the Williamstown Historical Museum.
Tickets and reservations for the event, which runs from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 16, at the Orchards Hotel, are available by contacting the museum at (413) 458-2160 or at williamstownhistoricalmuseum.org.
A catalog of silent auction items may be viewed on the website. Tickets cost $50 per person for members of the museum and $60 for non-members.

Musical performances will be given by singers under the direction of Katherine Toohey Carbone, professor of voice at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Local pianist Howie Levitz will accompany the chorus.
Also appearing will be Ronald Feldman, music director of the Berkshire Symphony Orchestra, and his wife, Elizabeth Morse, principal harpist with the symphony.
The cabaret also will feature a humorous reading by Steve Lawson, executive director of the Williamstown Film Festival.
