Author Stewart Edelstein will give an interactive presentation based on his book, "Dubious Doublets: A Delightful Compendium of Unlikely Word Pairs of Common Origin, from Aardvark/Porcelain to Zodiac/Whiskey," at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at the Stockbridge Library as part of its Sunday Speaker Series.

Edelstein will trace back seemingly unrelated modern English words through the millennia to reveal their common roots and the living thoughts forming the links between improbable word pairs.

A Stockbridge resident, Edelstein has studied etymology for almost 50 years, and has been a guest wordsmith at wordsmith.org. A trial lawyer, he has taught at Yale Law School for 20 years.
