Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts’ Gallery 51 will present "Teetering," a two-person exhibition by Gayle Wells Mandle and Julia Mandle, a mother and daughter artist duo, beginning Thursday, May 29, in the Gallery.

The public is invited to attend a free opening reception with the artists from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 29, at MCLA Gallery 51.

A panel discussion, which also is free and open to the public, will take place in the Gallery from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 30, when Julia Mandle participates in an interdisciplinary conversation with economics and art faculty from MCLA, Williams College and Skidmore College.

The exhibit examines issues of economic disparity and trajectories of social resistance as a response to that imbalance. Their work presents a range of mediums, including photography, painting, embroidery and sculpture.

The show will run through June 22. The gallery is open daily, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
