RICHMOND — An official for former Pittsfield Mayor Daniel Bianchi now sits on the Richmond School Committee.

Julia Sabourin beat out Adeline Ellis and Paula Patterson to succeed Bianca Daigle, who didn't seek re-election to the school board.

Sabourin won with 94 votes, followed by Ellis at 51 and Patterson, 26, following Saturday's annual town election.

For two years, Sabourin was director of administrative services during the last two years of the Bianchi administration and more recently a unsuccessful finalist for the job of town administrator in Richmond.

The remaining candidates on the ballot cruised to victory having run unopposed.

Neal Pilson took the available three-year term for selectman with Louise Maron and Frederick Schubert Jr. each securing a seat on the Board of Health.

Other uncontested winners were John Mason and Patricia Callahan for two seats on the Finance Committee; John Vittori for Planning Board; Nanci McConnell for library trustee and incumbent John Whitney is the town moderator for another year.
