CARY, N.C. -- The Williams College tennis teams have advanced to the NCAA Division III semifinal round.

The Williams women, seeking their fifth consecutive D-III title, rolled to a 5-1 win over Claremont-Mudd Scripps. The women will play Emory today at 12:30.

The Williams men had a more difficult time, beating NESCAC rival Bowdoin 5-3.

The Eph men will play Emory at 9 this morning.

Greylock girls 3, Taconic 2

WILLIAMSTOWN -- Tyra Nurmi and Natalia Renzi's three-set win at second doubles clinched the victory for the Mounties.

The pair won the match on a deuce point that gave them a 6-4 victory in the third set.

Greylock boys 5, Taconic 0

WILLIAMSTOWN -- The Mounties had an easy time topping visiting Taconic, 5-0 at home.

Greylock's trio of singles players all won in straight sets. Jonah Majumder made quick work of Kevin Osorio at first singles, winning 6-1, 6-1.
