This year's Berkshire Junior Golf Series will begin on July 9 at Stockbridge Golf Club. The six-tournament series is open to boys and girls ages 11-18 who are members of the Allied golf club.
The entry fee for each event is a bargain at $10, which covers prizes and lunch. The events offer a great opportunity for juniors to test their games under tournament conditions. The age groups 13-and-under, 14-15 and 16-17.
There are six events to be held on Monday's throughout the summer with registration at the host club scheduled for 8:00 to 8:30 with a shotgun start at 9.
Boys and girls need to sign up for each of the six tournaments at their home clubs in advance so the the club professional can call their names and ages to the host club by the Friday before the event.
The July 16th tournament at Berkshire Hills Country Club will serve as this year's Allied Junior Championship.
Registration on tournament days is from 8 to 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start set for 9 a.m.
A point system will be used to help determine the season champion in each age division. Proper golf attire is required.
