LEE -- The Lee volleyball team rallied to take the final two sets off previously unbeaten Chicopee Comp in a big 25-23, 25-27, 16-25, 25-20, 15-8 win at home on Monday.
"This is huge," said Lee coach John Warner. "This is a big week for us. To start this week off beating a D-II program, this is huge for any kind of seeding."
Katie Morin stuffed the stat sheet with 19 kills, two aces, two digs, four blocks, 17 assists. Lauren Richardson added nine kills, two aces, a dig and 14 assists while Vanessa Castillo had three kills, four aces and nine digs.
Warner said the Wildcats came out with a bit more intensity in the final set, leading to the victory. Ashleigh Clark had 13 kills, 10 digs and three aces for the visitors.
St. Joe's 3, New Lebanon 0
NEW LEBANON, N.Y. -- St. Joe's earned the sweep, allowing just five points in the second set of a 25-12, 25-5, 25-20 victory.
Maddie Roulier led the winners with six aces and six kills while Ilyssa Creamer had four aces and two kills. Elena Kelsey had five aces and three kills.
"I think we played a little better," said St. Joe's coach Peter Strack. "Our passing was pretty good and our serving was pretty good also."
DALTON -- The Warriors got 12 digs, seven kills and a pair of blocks from Mikayla Weigel in a 25-10, 25-17, 25-22 win.

SHEFFIELD -- Host Everett won the first set, but the Eagles couldn't hang on in a 12-25, 25-10, 25-19, 25-15 defeat.
"The first set we could play like we could play," Everett coach Dennis Sullivan said. "The first set we were passing well. We still have a lot of work to do."
Melissa Abbott had four aces and four kills for the Eagles, while Kayla Krom had two aces, four kills and three digs.

PITTSFIELD -- At the Country Club of Pittsfield, Hoosac's Chad Alibozek was medalist with a 2-over-par 37. Pittsfield's Adam Brickle was one stroke back.
The two were tied on the ninth hole where Alibozek made a 10-foot birdie and Brickle lipped out his 10 footer and settled for par.
"I played my seniors [Brickle and Jake Matthews] with Alibozek. They wanted to play with him," said PHS coach Chris Polidoro. "It was competitive."

PITTSFIELD -- At the Berkshire Hills Country Club, Taconic's Liam Nolan earned medalist honors with a 1-over-par 36 on the front nine and birdies on the second and third holes.
The Braves, however dropped a three-stroke decision to visiting East Longmeadow.
"Liam played awesome today," said Taconic coach Mike Hillman. "He kept it together."

GREAT BARRINGTON -- Jeff Spratt shot a 40 for Monument, but no one else broke 45 in a narrow loss to the Wildcats.
Jared Fadding led Lee with a 42 while Andy Consolati finished with a 43 on the par-36 front nine at Wyantenuck Country Club. Spartans coach Tom Kinne said his team still needs to work on consistency.
"We've had some good rounds from kids, but they have not been consistent," he said.

Cody Tynan was the third St. Joe's golfer to beat Greylock's top scorers. Aaron St. Martin and Matt Wiseman both had 48s for the Mounties, who played with only five.
