Berkshire United Rugby Football Club is hosting a "Rookie Rugby Day" on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Osceola Field in Pittsfield. The event is free to the public and is open to all youth players age 8 and up.

There will be USA Rugby and Massachusetts Youth Rugby Organization trainers on hand for the no-contact event. The schedule is as follows: 10 a.m.-11 a.m. - All Berkshire County physical education teachers and administrators welcome; 11 a.m.-Noon - Rookie Rugby Coach training; 12:45-2 p.m. - Rugby 101 for Parents, as well as anyone interested in learning the game and its rules; 2-3:30 p.m. - Rookie Rugby: kids between ages 8-14 learn to play.
