BENNINGTON, Vt. -- The MCLA women's basketball team scored 15 of the first 16 points of the second half to roll past Southern Vermont, 80-34.
Lucy Tremblay had 18 points for the Trailblazers (8-4) while picking up six rebounds and six assists. Johanna Miner had 16 points while Danielle Scolpino added 10 points.
MCLA forced 39 turnovers on the night and ripped down 46 rebounds in the win. The Trailblazers open MASCAC play on Tuesday when they host Salem State at 5:30 p.m.
Sage men 82, MCLA 59
TROY, N.Y. -- The Trailblazers dropped their ninth game of the season despite a double-double from John Jones.
Jones had 18 points and 26 rebounds -- including 13 on the offensive side -- but it wasn't enough on the road. Sage led by 11 at the half and built that lead to nearly 20 midway through the second. MCLA would never get any closer than 14 points.
The Trailblazers are back in North Adams to open the MASCAC slate against Salem State on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
