NORTH ADAMS -- The Hornets nearly gave away a pivotal win, but rallied with two runs in the last of the seventh.
A throwing error placed Justin Racine on second with one out, and Dylan Gigliotti brought him around to tie the game with an RBI single to left field. He took second on the relay to the plate, which turned out to be a pivotal heads-up play.
In the next at-bat, he read a ball in the dirt and took third. The catcher's throw sailed into left field, and he raced home for the game-winning run.
"Very good baseball mentality. I look up and he's at second," coach Pat Ryan said of the sophomore taking second on his hit. "That's just good baseball. That was big on his part."
