LENOX -- A three-run fourth inning was the key for Hoosac Valley's 4-3 win at Lenox on Monday.

Austin Milesi threw a three-hitter for the Hurricanes, while Austin Salnitis tossed a four-hitter for the Millionaires.

Salnitis had an RBI double to key a two-run third inning that gave the home side the lead. But the Hurricanes came back in the fourth. Matt Koperniak's RBI double was the big hit.

Monument 10, Wahconah 4

HINSDALE -- Monument bounced back from last week's tough loss to Mount Greylock with a decisive victory over Wahconah (3-12).

The Warriors committed five errors in the game and that, said Wahconah coach Jared Shannon, proved to to be their undoing.

"We made a lot of errors that extended innings," he said. "Every time we made an error, they scored multiple runs."

Brandon Perry led the 10-hit Monument attack by going 3 for 4 with 3 RBI. He just missed hitting for the cycle after collecting a single, double and triple.

Mount Everett 7, Lee 4

SHEFFIELD -- In a game that got offensive early, the Eagles took the lead for good with a four-run third inning.

Alec Blume had two hits and two RBI for Mount Everett, which got 21 3 solid innings of relief pitching from Erik Derwitsch. In relief of Eli Cook, Derwitsch struck out five Wildcats. The outing was Derwitsch's second on the mound since returning to pitching after a five-week layoff (arm soreness).

"He just threw the ball really well and mixed up his pitches," Eagles coach Jesse Carpenter said of Derwitsch. "He used fastball, curve, change. He threw all three of them to get strikeouts."

Derwitsch, John Ormsbee and Bradley Lupiani each had two hits for the winners. Preston Webb tripled for Lee.
