PITTSFIELD -- Despite a slow start, Post 68 rebounded to win its first game of the season over Southern Berkshire, 8-4.
"Very sloppy. We made a couple errors [in the first inning]," said Post 68 coach Jim Mazzer. "[Pitcher] Joey Dewey got through and pretty much shut the door the rest of the way."
Dewey struck out six to earn the complete-game victory, while teammate Zach Neary had two doubles and five RBI to bring Post 68 roaring back at Clapp Park. The hosts scored four in the bottom of the first before tacking on two runs in both the second and fourth innings. Dewey and Bonacquisti added doubles.
