PITTSFIELD -- North Adams strung together eight straight hits in the fifth inning to put six runs on the board and beat the Tyler Aces 12-7 on Thursday.

"It's like we've said all year, you're not going to get runs by getting one hit an inning," North Adams coach Bob Rumbolt said. "When we string eight hits in a row in one inning, you're going to get great results."

Riki Brown went 3 for 5 with a triple and scored three times for the winners. Robert Jutras was 4 for 5 with an RBI and Alex Bush contributed two RBI, as well.

Max Quinn took the mound for North Adams in his first official start in more than a year. He pitched last week, but the game was called due to rain after one inning.

Quinn went four innings and struck out two in his outing.

"For his first time out there in over a year, you have to give him the nod," Rumbolt said. "He found his rhythm. We were very happy with him."
