LENOX -- Lee’s balance on the scorecards Friday was the difference between the Wildcats’ golf team and Lenox.

Well, balance and a single stroke.

Lenox’s Kris Vahle earned medalist honors with a 36 on the par-35 front nine at Cranwell, but Lee’s scorers all finished in the 40s for a 177-178 win over the Millionaires.

"They had enough balance to squeeze out that one extra stroke," Lenox coach Dick Salinetti said of Lee. "We had one excellent round, and my young kids had some higher rounds."

Salinetti called Vahle’s round "very, very consistent."

"They’re a very good team, and we gave them a good battle," he added.
